The Grass Snakes (Natrix natrix) have woken up and seem to be everywhere. The population has grown stronger over the years and luckily they are harmless.
The Dutch Master (Narcissus ‘Dutch Master’) is now blooming at my moms garden. Planted it to a good spot some years back.
It is such bold and big daffodil. Just love to have it blooming when there is not much else in the garden yet.
Endless flocks of wild geese are flying over the summer cottage on their way to north for nesting.
The geese have taken an advantage of the beautiful and warm weather. So have the daffodils which are now nearly all flowering.
Accent (Narcissus ‘Accent’) started to bloom in my parents palace on the other side of the lake. I have planted it there few years ago.
Summer has finally arrived to the north! We are now expected to have a warm period that will last several days.
The trees do not yet have leaves but that will change within few days. For the time being the night frosts are gone and everything will start to grow with a staggering speed.
Tete-a-Tete Daffodils (Narcissus ‘Tete-a-Tete’) are now blooming and the other daffodils will follow any day now.
The days are already long, about 17 hour and getting longer. Hope that the summer is going to be a good one.
We have been promised sunny days for the next week.
The daffodils I have bought this year are starting to bloom in the balcony. Double Gold Medal (Narcissus ‘Double Gold Medal’) was something I simply could not resist.
It will find its way to the summer cottage once it has bloomed and hopefully it will bloom again next year, if it makes through the winter.
It will still take few more weeks before the daffodils start to bloom up here in the north.
Tete-a-Tete Daffodil (Narcissus Tete-a-Tete) is always the first one to open its flowers.
Bought one for the balcony and once it has bloomed will take it to the summer cottage and replant it. It will bloom nicely next year as well.
Enjoying a warm day in a park. Restaurants are still closed and takeaways are the only option.
Already miss eating in a proper restaurant and not somewhere outside. Though enjoying the good weather.
Daffodil Thalia (Narcissus ‘Thalia’) finally started to bloom. It has a uniquely shaped blooms and the white in them is exceptionally bright.
Tahiti (Narcissus‘Tahiti’) is a bright colored daffodil which I found few years ago.
It has faithfully bloomed each year and did not disappoint this spring.
A butterfly decided to sit on the bloom while I was trying to take a picture. Did not mind that just the opposite.
The summer is finally arriving to the north. We have had two beautiful and warmish days in a row. Nature is starting to get its green color.
Cold weather is always good for the daffodils. They simply bloom longer.
Pink Charm (Narcissus‘Pink Charm’) is at its best and seems to enjoy the weather as do I.
Still have few daffodils that have not opened. It has been a cooler period up here in the north which is good for daffodils. The ones that have started to bloom simply bloom longer when the weather is colder.
Monal (Narcissus’Monal’) started to open its flowers. The colors are bright and it sure stands up.
One more week to go and then I am able to spend a week in the summer cottage. Cannot wait for that.
